Providing you with a valuable tool
The Certified Roofing Professional (CSRP) credential was designed to provide building owners like you with a tool to identify skilled professionals who are capable of addressing all aspects of a roof-mounted PV installation, including:
- Roof life-cycle performance
- Weatherproofing integrity
- Structural issues
- Increased heat loads
- Wind load
- Equipment access and maintenance
- Uninterrupted power performance
Some installers, such as solar integrators and electricians, may not have the knowledge to assess all these considerations and, therefore, may inadvertently affect your client’s roof system performance and service life negatively. To protect your client’s investment select a CSRP-credentialed installer.
Protecting your investment
A CSRP credential gives you the ability to differentiate qualified and unqualified installers and potentially avoid consequences such as voiding your roof membrane warranties and direct or collateral damage to your roof or building. In addition, an accident or injury caused by unqualified installers who are not used to working on a rooftop environment an be catastrophic.
Leading roof system manufacturers recognize the value that a CSRP-credentialed installer can bring to your project, which is why many sponsor RISE, endorse the CSRP program and encourage building owners to choose a CSRP professional as a condition of warranty.
